Marina Mandalina - Šibenik

The city of Šibenik was first mentioned in 1066 in a document issued by the Croatian king Petar Krešimir IV. who dwelled in the fortress of St. Michael's. In its roaring history the city of Šibenik shared the same destiny as other parts of the Croatia by falling under many different rulers, but still managed to preserve its Croatian soul and its proud name «Krešimir's town». The legacy of numerous rulers is abundance of cultural and historical monuments of priceless value.Today, Šibenik is a center of Šibenik-Knin county,and also cultural, educational, administrative and economical center with population 51,553 (2001. with suburban settlements). Until the 1980s, Šibenik was a strong industrial center (factories «TEF» and «TLM»), and harbor was one of the biggest in former Yugoslavia, but then happened great economic fall. Šibenik today is mainly a tourist center.

"ANKORA-NAUTIKA" d.o.o has chosen for its base the marina "Mandalina", situated in the wide bay of Šibenik on the peninsula Mandalina. Marina "Mandalina" is the most protected natural marina on the Adriatic coast.
With its position it is remarkably interesting as an embarking point for sailors because of the nearness of numerous Mid-Adriatic islands and beautiful tourist destinations as well as the nearness of a highway (cca 10 minutes ride). Within marina there are also a restaurant, exchange office and a wide range of accompanying contents that satisfy standards and tastes of the most demanding sailors.
